The Advisory Council provides informed guidance and support to the Alliance leadership team. This guidance will support the Alliance’s mission to enhance the quality and performance of proven public health practices and services, data and information translation, partnerships, and resources that focus on geographic tobacco and cancer health disparities.
The Advisory Council will serve as a tremendous ally in the quest to eliminate the gaps in research, services and resources that contribute to geographic cancer and tobacco-related health disparities, particularly those experience by states in the southeastern region of the U.S. This Advisory Council will comprise public and community health providers, researchers and medical professionals to develop strategies for disseminating best practices related to geographic tobacco and cancer health disparities.
